When you register for the competition or contact us, we may collect the following personal data:

  • Name and surname of the contact person / teacher / choreographer
  • Name of the dance group or school
  • Email address and phone number
  • Country and city
  • Information about participating dancers (age category, number of dancers)
  • Music and performance-related files submitted during registration

3. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Competition registration and organisation – necessary for the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
  • Communication regarding the event – legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
  • Legal obligations – accounting, invoicing (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR)
  • Marketing communications – only with your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)

4. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary:

  • Registration data: for the duration of the competition and up to 3 years thereafter for legal and accounting purposes
  • Marketing consent: until withdrawn
  • General inquiries: up to 1 year after last contact

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share your data only with:

  • Event co-organisers and technical partners involved in running the competition
  • IT service providers (hosting, registration platform) acting as data processors under a data processing agreement
  • Public authorities when required by law

As a data subject, you have the following rights:

  • Right to rectification – you can ask us to correct inaccurate data

7. Cookies

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other third-party tracking tools. The only external requests are Google Fonts (used for typography) and your browser's standard caching mechanisms.

8. Photography and Video at the Event

During the competition, photos and video recordings may be taken for documentary and promotional purposes. By participating in the event, participants and their legal guardians (for minors) acknowledge that such recordings may be made and used in competition-related communications and publications.

If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please inform us in writing before the event at info@bestdancegroup.com.

9. Supervisory Authority

If you believe your personal data is being processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority. In Croatia, this is the Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka (AZOP): azop.hr.
